In September of 2024, Dylan was diagnosed with Chronic Myloid Leukemia. He went into the clinic on Monday September 16, 2024, for severe pain in his abdomen, severe weight loss and complete loss of appetite. After being evaluated he was transferred to Gunderson Lutheran Health System Hospital in LaCrosse, WI for further testing. That’s when they confirmed his diagnosis. Dylan then spent a couple days in the hospital to discuss his treatments.
For being at the young age of 23, the Doctors were concerned about the future outlook because this type of cancer is mainly found in elderly gentleman. Dylan has gone through multiple visits and checkups while undergoing chemo treatments. This has made it difficult for Dylan and his bride to be Libby. Dylan has not been able to work very much due to his illness, as he is a heavy equipment operator for a bridge building outfit, volunteers on his local fire department, and he is also in the national guard.
