When she was just 4 months old, Ely was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL). ALL is the most common form of childhood cancer; however, it is extremely rare in infants. Upon diagnosis, Ely spent much of her first year of life at Masonic Children’s Hospital where her doctors provided her with an aggressive treatment plan that included chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Now at 2 ½ she is in the maintenance phase of her treatment and she will be finishing it up the first week of May!
