JACK TAGGART

In July of 2012 at the age of 8, Jack was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Upon diagnosis, he underwent 3.5 years of treatment. After a successful treatment plan, Jack relapsed in 2017 and underwent a bone marrow transplant. In 2019, Jack developed Avascular Necrosis and had a hip replacement. In November of 2019 Jack relapsed and underwent CAR T Cell Therapy. In 2021 Jack developed Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) as a side effect of the treatment he underwent resulting in another bone marrow transplant. In 2022, Jack relapsed again and went through CAR T Cell Therapy. Last year Jack had another relapse and Is currently going through a clinical trial treatment in Philadelphia. Despite all of these setbacks, he is currently a sophomore attending St. Thomas University where he is majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
